National Speed Awareness Course (NSAC)
Only people who the police have offered a National Speed Awareness Course (NSAC) can complete this course.
If the police have offered you a place, you can book online.
The course costs £90 and lasts for 3 hours.

Online course times
- 7am to 10am
- 9am to 12 noon
- 11am to 2pm
- 1pm to 4pm
- 5pm to 8pm
Please join on Zoom 15 minutes before your course starts to allow for registration. Only on-time attendees will be allowed entry.
Classroom course times
- 9am to 12 noon
- 1pm to 4pm
We recommend arriving 15 minutes early for your course, as late attendees will be refused entry.
Course overview
This course aims to make our communities safer by helping people to drive at a safe speed within the speed limit by:
- improving knowledge of speed limits and skills in identifying different speed limit areas
- increasing the credibility and perceived legitimacy of speed limits
- increasing understanding of the consequences of speeding
- developing skills in managing emotions while driving
- increasing awareness of the importance of attention and hazard prediction in selecting a safe speed
- increasing awareness of how in-car technology can affect speed (positively and negatively)
We will not allow you to join a course if you:
- are late.
- are unable to show the trainer your valid photocard driving licence (or paper licence supported by an acceptable photographic ID).
- bring an interpreter (if required) not named on your booking (or they do not have an acceptable photographic ID).
