- Service Description
-
Bounce Forward’s Healthy Minds programme is an evidence-based curriculum of 69 lessons for years 7 to 11. It is a scheme of work to be delivered by teachers in school. It aims to develop students’ psychological skills to build mental resilience and emotional wellbeing.
There has never been a more important time to support young people to build mental resilience and emotional wellbeing, so they thrive in education and beyond. Without these fundamental core skills, the following statistics are likely to rise:
- 1 in 6 children in a classroom are likely to have a mental health/wellbeing problem (Children’s Society)
- 50% of mental health problems start by the age of 14 (National Comorbidity Survey Replication)
- 69 out of 72 - The UK ranking for children’s life satisfaction (Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, January 2022)
For more information about the programme from teacher and student participants, see the Bounce Forward - Healthy Minds YouTube video.
