The Lending Library offers a range of resources available for loan to support early bonding and attachment, while supporting your child’s development and establishing routines.
This is a free service for parents and carers from pregnancy and children from birth to 5 years as well as Early Years Professionals to access.
You can loan up to three items at a time, for a maximum of two weeks. This can be extended on request, dependant on availability.
Types of resources
Sensory play | These resources allow your child the opportunity to explore using all their senses, helping to develop language skills, motor skills and supports brain development. | |
Physical development | These resources support gross motor skills which are important for a child's early development, sense of balance and motor control. | |
Story packs | These support your child’s communication and language development, whilst encouraging their pleasure in reading, in order to develop their vocabulary and understanding. These packs are filled with resources to help support and enhance storytelling. | |
Routines | These resources can be used to support establishing early routines and understanding your child’s development. |
How to request a loan
Select your preferred Lending Library from the list below. Complete the request form with your contact details, chosen collection centre, loan period and the items requested.

- North and South Kesteven Lending Library
You will then be contacted by the Children’s Centre directly within one to two working days, to confirm your request.
