Our mission

To oversee and co-ordinate the effective delivery of safeguarding arrangements across the county with partner agencies.

Independent chair’s introduction

The Lincolnshire Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB) has a statutory duty under the Care Act 2014 to publish a strategic plan.  This plan for 2022 to 2025 outlines what our objectives are and how we will achieve them.

As the newly appointed independent chair of the LSAB it is a priority for me to:

  • ensure the actions we undertake are based on solid intelligence and evidence
  • maximise the impact of our resources

If delivered, this will result in the greatest positive outcomes for adults at risk in Lincolnshire.

The objectives we have set are based upon sound analysis.  We undertook a joint needs assessment working with:

  • Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children’s Partnership
  • Domestic Abuse Partnership
  • Safer Lincolnshire Partnership

We analysed adult abuse types, primary locations, profiles of victims and alleged perpetrators. Further analysis of the Lincolnshire annual safeguarding return was used to compliment the work undertaken through the joint needs analysis.  The results established the objectives for this new strategic plan.

As chair, my task is to work with our partners, the community, service users and carers.  Together we will turn this plan into tangible outcomes to benefit the people of Lincolnshire.
