Personal budgets and direct payments
A personal budget is the amount of money paid to you to help pay for services to meet your social care needs.
Your adult care assessment will identify these needs. You can have your personal budget paid:
- directly to you in a direct payment
- to a ‘nominated person’ who manages money for you
- to a service provider
- as a combination of the above
