Earthworks for new road formation planned for December
What we achieved in November
Roman Bank – Phases 4B and 5
- Installed the final 90m of the new road storm drainage and final 3 drainage catch pits
- Excavated and installed 10 new gullies and connected into the mainline drainage
- Arranged and facilitated the lowering and reinstatement of 3 Anglian Water services and 3 Western Power services
- Broke out and installed 200m of new kerbs/channels
- Excavated and disposed of 60 tonnes of old buried concrete kerb beam and 100 tonnes of mud to new road formation
What's happening in December
Roman Bank – Phases 4B and 5
- Excavate and dispose of 1,100 tonnes of muck to new road formation at Phase 5
- Lay 1,500 tonnes of new asphalt at Phase 5
- Breakout and raise ironwork within the road to surface level
- Tidy and secure the site for the Christmas period
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Full road closure between the Muirfield Drive and Brancaster Drive junctions on Roman Bank
- Diversion via the A52 / C541 / A158 at the Gunby dual carriageway, and vice versa.
Please note that pedestrian access will be maintained for residents and businesses, except when works are being carried directly outside a property (exact location will change as the scheme progresses).
Those affected will be notified in advance and are encouraged to speak to the site team to discuss any accommodations that can be made.
Private and on-street parking within the immediate area of works will also be restricted.
