Anyone who regularly travels in and around Lincoln is encouraged to share their views on the Lincoln Eastern Bypass project by completing a short online survey.
The questionnaire launched today, on Monday 1 November, at www.letstalk.lincolnshire.gov.uk and will close on Sunday 28 November.
Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: "It's been close to a year since the Lincoln Eastern Bypass opened, and we're now evaluating the effects it's had on Lincoln's road network.
"That's why people may have noticed temporary cameras and thin tubing across certain roads in and around the city.
"These are in place to capture the number of vehicles travelling these key routes and will help paint a picture of how the bypass has affected traffic patterns at various times of the day.
"As part of our evaluation, we also want to hear whether the bypass has improved people's journeys in and around Lincoln.
"That's why we're encouraging anyone who lives, works or travels through the city to complete our survey and tell us if the new road has met expectations."
The 4.6 mile Lincoln Eastern Bypass project was part-funded by a £50m Central Government capital grant with the aim of improving Lincoln's infrastructure, encouraging growth, minimising traffic congestion, and enhancing the inner-city environment.
The bypass begins on the A15 Sleaford Road and finishes at the A158 Wragby Road – connecting with the existing northern relief road.
