An ageing section of the busy road is set to be repaired in November 2019.
The £180,000 project is due to begin on Monday 4 November and is expected to be completed by Friday 22 November, subject to favourable weather.
The road will be closed during the improvements, with traffic diverted via the A16 Spalding bypass, B1357 Moulton Chapel Road, B1165 Broadwater Lane, B1165 Ravens Gate and B1168 Holbeach Drove Gate.
Karen Cassar, assistant director highways, said: "This section of the road is coming to the end of its life and it's important we get it replaced. That way it will remain safe for motorists.
"There will be some short-term inconvenience while the works are carried out, and we'd ask drivers to be patient, allow additional time for their journeys and use alternative routes where possible."
