The first half of the new A1 bridge will be ready for vehicles to use in October.
What we achieved in October
- Completed road surfacing of the first half of the new A1 bridge and moved traffic
- Continued drainage works to the western side of the scheme
- Recommence piling works and guidewall construction for second half of new A1 bridge
- Removed temporary sheet piling on the A1
- Anglian Water commenced watermain diversions west of the railway as part of Phase Three and Galliford Try constructed a haul road for Anglian Water from Whalebone Lane towards the railway providing access for an additional watermain diversion east of the rail line
- Continued post-excavation archaeological reporting
What's happening in November
- Continue drainage works to the western side of the scheme
- Continue earthworks at the eastern side of the scheme

Upcoming traffic restrictions and closures
- Full night-time closure on the southbound A1 between Harlaxton and Little Ponton from 8pm to 6am
- Sunday 8 November to Friday 13 November for six evenings
- Sunday 15 November to Friday 20 November for six evenings
- Diversion via the A607 at Harlaxton to the A606 to A1 at Stamford.
