Works to widen Wragby Road roundabout, as part of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass project, are now underway.

Below are details of the current and upcoming traffic management associated with the roundabout widening:

  • 9 to 20 September – night-time 3-way traffic signals (6:30pm to 6am)
  • 23 to 27 September – 3-way traffic signals (24/7)
  • 6 to 18 October – roundabout narrowed to single lane
  • 28 October to 8 November – full night-time closure (6:30pm to 6am)
  • 11 to 22 November – night-time 3-way traffic signals (6:30pm to 6am)

The diversion route for the night-time closures will be via A46 to Market Rasen to the A631 to the B1202 to the A158, and vice versa.

Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: "These works are essential for adding a new leg to and widening Wragby Road roundabout as part of the new bypass.

"These works will inevitably cause some disruption, particularly during the week of 24/7 three-way signals.

"Because of that, we strongly encourage people to stagger their journey times, consider alternative routes and plan ahead for delays if using the A158 Wragby Road roundabout."

The 7.5km Lincoln Eastern Bypass project is part-funded by a £50m Central Government capital grant and will improve Lincoln’s infrastructure, encourage growth, minimise traffic congestion and enhance the inter-city environment.
