Where’s Wally? Spooky Search at Lincoln Castle and The Collection Museum this Half Term

Wally spooky museum search

This Halloween, Wally, the world’s favourite children’s book character will be travelling to Lincoln visiting Lincoln Castle and The Collection Museum.

From Saturday 17th October – Sunday 1st November, families will be able to join the search for Wally as part of the Where’s Wally? Spooky Museum Search, organised by Walker Books and Kids in Museums, to celebrate the release of the new book, Where’s Wally? Spooky Spotlight Search.

Families will be able to hunt for Wally in the Castle grounds or amongst the Collection's collection of amazing Roman or Viking artefacts, as well as spelling out a spooky phrase with letters hidden alongside mini Wally standees.

Those who complete the search will receive a special “I found Wally!” bookmark, as well as having the chance to enter a grand prize draw competition to win an ArtFund Family Membership and a bundle of Where’s Wally? goodies.

As well as hunting for Wally, families will be able to have a go at activity sheets and have selfies with Wally.

Laura Ince, visitor experience team leader at Lincoln Castle, said:

"Fancy trying something new this half-term? Kids and grownups alike will love this special hunt for Wally! You never know where he will be hiding in our Victorian prison or in the Magna Carta Vault - what a spectacular setting!"

The Collection Museum and Lincoln Castle are both COVID secure sites – with one way systems in place, social distancing measures in place and regular sanitising stations.

The activity is included within the entry to The Collection Museum and included within the price of a Castle day ticket,  free for Lincoln Castle annual pass holders.
