Finishing off kerbing of the new central island and splitter islands, resurfacing of the road and completion of footways are the primary focus for the coming period.
What we achieved in August
- Carried out gas main diversions out of new carriageway, including near St Georges Lane
- Laid kerbing for the new road alignment on the southwest and northeast corners
- Completed new drainage road crossing on roundabout's southern Riseholme Road arm
- Installed new drainage and gullies on roundabout's northeast corner
- Dug out enlarged central islands, ready for kerbing
- Completed deep-level road surfacing at all widened road areas of the roundabout
What's happening in September
- Install kerbing for the enlarged central island and connect drainage to the rest of the system
- Finish all remaining kerbing, including splitter islands on roundabout approaches
- Complete Anglian Water main diversion
- Complete top soiling of the northeast embankment
- Finish drainage connections at the western arm of the roundabout
- Construct pedestrian footway in the new verge on northeast corner and past St Georges Lane
- Lay middle layers of road surfacing to the entire roundabout, ready for final road surfacing and lining in October
- Complete installation and connections for new street-lighting columns
- Excavation of a water attenuation drainage pond in the southwest corner

- Night-time closure of A46 eastbound lane carriageway (from Carholme Roundabout towards Riseholme Roundabout); Tuesday 1 and Wednesday 2 September for two evenings; 7pm to 6am
- Diversion route via Saxilby Road/The Avenue/B1273/Riseholme Road
- Night-time closure of A46 eastbound lane carriageway (from Riseholme Roundabout towards Carholme Roundabout); Thursday 3 and Friday 4 September for two evenings; 7pm to 6am
- Diversion route via Riseholme Road/B1273/The Avenue/Saxilby Road
- Temporary traffic signals will also be in place at all of Riseholme Roundabout's approaches
- Night-time closure of the entire roundabout; Monday 14 to Wednesday 16 September for three evenings; 7pm to 6am
- Diversion route via A15/A1500/A156/A57/The Avenue/B1273/B1182 Nettleham Road or vice versa
