Lincolnshire County Council will be taking part in the National Fraud Initiative (NFI) during October 2020.
The council is required to submit data for matching against data held by other organisations, such as councils, central government agencies, police and some private companies.
The purpose of the exercise is to prevent and detect fraud by highlighting high-risk or unusual matches – these items may then be investigated.
The data includes details on:
- Payroll and pensions
- Trade creditors
- Transport passes (concessionary travel and blue badges)
- Privately-supported care home residents
- Direct payments
Further information is available in the National fraud initiative privacy notice.
