Road reconstruction works to improve the B1202 near Lissington have been given a start date.

Jonathan Evans, Head of Highways Client, said: “In early May, we’ll be starting a three-week project to fully rebuild a failing ¾ mile stretch of the B1202 Linwood Road near Lissington.

“The team will be excavating up to a foot of old road surfacing in places and using 2,250 tonnes of road building materials to replace all of the old with new as part of the project.

“And, to save coming back in the future, we’ll also be replacing some of the carriageway drainage and kerbs while on-site.”
