An overview of progress on the Pinchbeck Roundabout improvement project
What we achieved in December
- Surface the widened carriageway on the southwest side
- Surface the eastern leg of the roundabout
- Topsoil dressing along the southwest and northwest verges
- Installed, wired and powered on street lighting columns on the southwest and northwest sides
- Completed building the south island and both B1180 islands
- Started the west half of the north splitter island
What’s happening in January
- Complete building the splitter islands
- Prepare for final surfacing
- Complete sections of outstanding earthworks
- Begin site clearance
- Start laying final road surfacing / implement night-time road closures of A16
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- Ongoing narrowed lanes on A16 in the roundabout and all its approaches
- Narrowed lanes in the roundabout and all its approaches
Upcoming traffic restrictions
- Night-time road closures on the A16 starting on Monday 20 January for up to two months, 8pm to 6am, between Ten Acre Lane and Springfield Roundabout
- A16 North diversion route – via A151 / A17, and vice versa
- A16 South diversion route – via A16 / A152 / B1356, and vice versa
