Dysart Road improvements come to a successful end

Dysart Road 1

The five-month long road reconstruction project came to an end on Thursday 19 December.

Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: “Our improvement works to Dysart Road are now complete and the road is fully back open.

“Over the past five months, over 22,500 hours have been spent bringing this essential project to fruition. And, in the end, we’ve laid over 8,500 tonnes of road-building materials and just under a quarter mile new underground drainage.

“With the road and footways along Dysart Road fully rebuilt, people can expect smoother journeys when traveling by car, cycle and foot.”

Below are some additional facts and figures about the Dysart Road improvement project:

  • 9,000 tonnes of old carriageway, footway and kerbing excavated
  • Nearly 4,000 tons of new footway built
  • Nearly one and a quarter miles of new kerbing installed

This project has been part-funded by a portion of the £20 million capital funding allocated to the county council as part of the Greater Lincolnshire Combined County Authority devolution deal.
