Coastal Carriageway November update

The latest update on the Coastal Carriageway Improvements.

What we achieved in October

Old Roman Bank
  • Footway works completed in Sandilands
  • Continuation of improvements near Fat Seagull Café area
  • Removal of 2.9km length of existing carriageway and commencement of new carriageway surfacing from A52 at Sandilands towards Sea Lane Huttoft
  • Commencement of hedging and vegetation clearance from Sea Lane Huttoft towards Chapel St Leonards
A1104 Maltby le Marsh / Mablethorpe
  • Site compound set-up
  • Commenced works on 21st October at Maltby Le Marsh moving eastwards
  • Began footway reconstruction and excavation of carriageway
  • Started earthworks to lower verge along Main Road and Alford Road in Mablethorpe

What’s happening in November

Old Roman Bank
  • Continue with replacement of the existing carriageway surfacing between Sandilands and Anderby Creek
A1104 Maltby le Marsh / Mablethorpe
  • Continue earthworks to lower verge along Main Road and Alford Road in Mablethorpe
  • Complete footway reconstruction
  • Continue excavation works and carriageway reconstruction works along Main Road and Alford Road

Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures

Old Roman Bank

  • Temporary Traffic Signals at A52 end of Sandilands
  • Ongoing road closure between Sandilands and Anderby Creek & Anderby Creek and Chapel St Leonards
A1104 Maltby le Marsh / Mablethorpe
  • Ongoing to late November – night-time road closure from 7pm to 7am

Upcoming traffic restrictions and closures

Old Roman Bank

A1104 Maltby le Marsh / Mablethorpe
  • Monday 2 December to mid-December – daytime closure from 8:30am to 6:30pm
  • Temporary traffic signals will also be in use as needed during the project.
