The broken road is getting a big set of works.
Karen Cassar, assistant director for Highways at LCC, said: “This is a major bit of resurfacing work that we are going to deliver for the local traffic network.
“As everyone who travels in the area will know, this road is in real need of this improvement and it won’t be a small job, or inexpensive to do, but by delivering this programme we are continuing our strong commitment to carry on making Lincolnshire’s roads better.”
Location of works
The works will be carried out at the B1183 Carrington Road, Frithville
Dates and times
The works will begin on Monday, October 21 and are due to conclude on Tuesday, November 5. Work times onsite will be from 07.30 to 17.00, Monday to Friday, subject to suitable weather. No weekend works are planned.
Traffic management
A road closure is required for the duration of the works with a diversion route in place throughout.
Diversion route
The signed diversion route will be; B1183 / A155 / A16 / B1184 / B1183 and vice versa.
Karen Cassar added: “It’ll cost around £447,000 to get these improvements in place and, as always, we will try to get works completed as quickly as we can.
“Because we’re ripping up the entire surface of the road and replacing it, we can’t leave the route open for obvious reasons. We’ve put a like-for-like diversion in place, and we will try to keep disruption to the absolute minimum possible.
“I would like to thank everyone effected for their patience and understanding whilst we get on with this scheme. That patience really helps as we go through our huge programme of road improving across the county and it’s a great, essential help in what we do.”
