The latest update on the Coastal Carriageway Improvements.

What we achieved in September

Old Roman Bank

  • Mobilisation to site, site compound set up
  • Works commenced 16th September at Sandilands end of scheme moving southwards
  • Removal of 1.5km length of existing carriageway and commencement of new carriageway surfacing
  • Removal of existing footway and commencement of new surfacing

A1104 Maltby le Marsh / Mablethorpe

  • Contractor appointed for carriageway reconstruction, minor footway works and earthworks to lower the verge

What’s happening in October

Old Roman Bank

  • Continuation of the works between Sandilands and Anderby Creek, carriageway and footway
  • Commencement of the 2nd section of works south of Anderby Creek to Chapel St Leonards, 8th October

A1104 Maltby le Marsh / Mablethorpe

  • Set-up site compound / contractor mobilisation
  • Install traffic management
  • Begin footway reconstruction and excavation of carriageway
  • Begin earthworks to lower the verge along Alford Road and Main Road in Maltby Le Marsh

Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures

Old Roman Bank

  • Temporary Traffic Signals at A52 end of Sandilands
  • Ongoing road closure between Sandilands and Anderby Creek

Upcoming traffic restrictions and closures

Old Roman Bank

  • Additional road closure of section between Anderby Creek and Chapel St Leonards

A1104 Maltby le Marsh / Mablethorpe

  • A combination of daytime and night-time road closures will be in place throughout the works:
    • Thursday 17 October to late November – night-time road closure from 7pm to 7am
    • Monday 2 December to mid-December – daytime closure from 8:30am to 6:30pm
  • Temporary traffic signals will also be in use as needed during the project.
