Spalding's registration office was officially opened on Friday 14 February, following one of the first marriage ceremonies to take place in the new venue.
The office and ceremony room has been re-located to South Holland District Council's offices on Priory Road.
Cllr Nick Worth, executive councillor for registration and celebratory services at Lincolnshire County Council, said: "We're really pleased with the new registration office.
We listened to the feedback from residents at our previous site, and the new location offers improved and more accessible facilities.
"Valentine's Day was a very appropriate date to mark the union of the two councils as well as the couple getting married!
"Our registration service is there for the key life events of our residents, including marriages and civil partnerships, and I'm sure the new space will be home to many celebrations going forward."
Christine Marshall, executive director at South Holland District Council, said: "We're delighted to have the county council's registration service move to Priory Road.
"This further cements South Holland District Council's ambition to turn our Priory Road offices into a one-stop shop for our residents."
Lindum Peterborough Contracts Manager, Gary Burton, said the work further consolidated Lindum’s good relationship with the council:
“We were on site for 16 weeks. First we stripped it back to a bare canvas and then we divided the space into three offices, a waiting room and the ceremony room. We also created a new private entrance to the Register Office."
