What we achieved in July
- Closed B1180 and installed traffic management
- Completed reinforced earth embankment on the northside of B1180
- Completed outfall manhole and road crossing drainage run on B1180
- Cleared the existing kerb line along the north and south sides of B1180
- Diverted Vodafone duct along the north verge of B1180
- Diverted Openreach duct on the south and north sides of B1180
- Completed earthworks on the northeast and southeast sides of A16
- Started drainage works on the northeast side of A16
- Started construction widened sections of road along northeast side of A16 and north side of B1180
What’s happening in August
- Complete drainage works along A16 North, A16 South, and B1180 (as far as the closure allows for safe working)
- Construct the widened sections of the carriageway along A16 and B1180
- Lay surfacing to the widened sections along A16 and B1180
Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures
- 24/7 closure of B1180 until mid-September
- Ongoing narrowed lanes along the South and the North approaches of the roundabout.
Upcoming traffic restrictions
- Night-time temporary traffic signals on the A16 (as needed) to install road crossing ducts for new street lighting
