A fabulous season of events await visitors to Lincoln’s iconic Castle.
An exciting list of events has been planned at Lincoln Castle. Following on from the hugely popular music events earlier this summer, the Castle has more not-to-be-missed events lined up to thrill visitors from August to November.
Medieval Joust
Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 August, 10am – 5pm
Feel the thunder of hooves and hear the clash of lance on steel armour as our brave Knights take part in the sport of Kings. Meet the knights and choose your champion and cheer them on. This competition brings together some of the best international jousters and you can access the event with a castle day ticket or with an annual pass. Book your ticket today to avoid disappointment!
Peter Pan
Wednesday, 14 August, gates 5.30pm – performance 6.30pm
Outdoor theatre returns to Lincoln Castle! Following the success of “The Wizard of Oz,” multi-award nominated Immersion Theatre invite you to soar away to Neverland as they proudly bring their trademark energy to their most magical musical to date, Peter Pan. Get ready to think happy thoughts and fly high as the mischievous Peter embarks on an awfully big adventure, introducing Wendy Darling to the lost boys, the cheeky Tinkerbell before facing the most feared villain of them all, Captain Hook! Suitable for ages 4+. Running time: approximately 100 minutes including interval

The Asylum Steampunk Festival
Saturday 26 – Monday 28 August, 10am – 5pm
Taking Lincoln Castle to a time that never was - the largest steampunk festival in the world returns to Lincoln! The Asylum Steampunk Festival is the largest and longest running steampunk festival in the solar system, attracting participants from around the globe for a weekend full of art, literature, music, fashion and simple good fun!

Friends of Lincoln Castle – Showcase Weekend
Saturday 21 and Sunday, 22 September, 10.00am – 5.00pm
We are excited to support the Friends of Lincoln Castle this weekend as they showcase the different ways in which they volunteer and support the Castle. Enjoy guided tours of the Castle Bailey and Medieval Wall Walk with our specialist guides. Discover the Victorian Prison with our dedicated prison group. Don’t miss this opportunity to meet our wonderful team here at the Castle. Entrance to the grounds is free this weekend.
October Half Term
Saturday 19 – Sunday 27 October, 10am – 4pm
Visit Lincoln Castle this half term! Explore the grounds, enjoy the views from the Medieval Wall Walk, discover the archaeology displays and visit the Magna Carta Vault. Enter the Victorian Prison and discover what life was like for those that were held here.
Dog friendly weekends
