Grab an annual parking pass and make the most of Lincolnshire’s beautiful coast
Parking charges apply in coastal car parks at Anderby Creek, Chapel Six Marshes, Huttoft, Marsh Yard and Wolla Bank between Good Friday and 31 October each year.
Parking costs just £1 for an hour, £2 for two hours, or £4 for over two hours. Visitors can pay for parking via app or by phone, or by card at payment machines at Huttoft Car Terrace and Anderby Creek.
Disabled badge holders are exempt from the charges.
Regular visitors can also purchase an annual parking pass which allows them to park as often as they like in our coastal car parks, all season long. These cost £50 for the season and are available from the county council’s website at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/coastalcountrypark.
Charges apply from 10am to 5pm. The car parks are open from 6am to 10pm. No overnight parking is allowed after 10pm until 6am.
Due to limited space, any vehicles over 6m in length are not allowed to use the car parks.
Chris Miller, head of environment at Lincolnshire County Council, said:
“Coastal car parking charges allow more people to visit and enjoy the beautiful Lincolnshire coast by providing a steady turnover of parking spaces. And any money made through car parking charges gets invested right back into improving facilities along the coast.
“As the school summer holidays start, it’s a good time to remind visitors that overnight parking is not allowed. Sadly, there’s been a number of instances recently of people parking late at night or camping in the coastal car parks, which has coincided with people using the sand dunes as a toilet and creating a health hazard, break-ins and vandalism in public toilets, and people lighting campfires in the car parks.
“There is a wealth of campsites and other accommodation options right along the coast, with proper facilities that our car parks do not have. Anyone trying to stay in our car parks overnight is liable to receive a fine.
“We want people to enjoy all the Coastal Country Park has to offer, so parking tickets are transferrable, meaning you can visit more than one coastal car park in a day and not pay twice. You can also buy a ticket from Anderby or Huttoft through one of the machines and then take it to park elsewhere along the coast.”
