Works to improve Alma Park Road will start next Monday.
Karen Cassar, assistant director for highways, said: “The carriageway along Alma Park Road in Grantham is starting to fail in places, so we will be completely rebuilding it from the ground up starting on 8th July.
“As part of the works, the team will be using over 3,500 tonnes of tarmac and other road-building materials to reconstruct it.
“While on site, we’ll also be carrying out some drainage and kerbing repairs which need to be done.”
Dates and timeframes
Monday 8 July for up to five weeks
Location of works
Alma Park Road, from its junction with Londonthorpe Lane to just past its junction with Fifth Avenue
Traffic management

Friday 19 July for up to four weeks – night-time road closures from 7pm to 5am (weekday evenings only)

Karen Cassar added: “We’ll be doing all we can to keep disruption down to a minimum. This will include only closing the road at night during the week, which will keep traffic moving in the daytime.
“I want to thank everyone for their patience in advance.”
