End of May sees more days and routes on offer.
Bus users in Stamford are now able to get onboard a bigger and better bus service.
Thanks to funds from the Bus Service Improvement Plan made available by Lincolnshire County Council, local bus company Bland’s has made getting around Stamford and other areas even easier.
The service is being vastly improved from what was two buses, three days a week to hourly services, six days a week.
Bland’s buses will now operate Monday to Saturday and will also serve new areas of town (including Ross Drive and Collins Avenue).
The bus station, hospital, Morrisons and St Mary’s Medical Centre are also added to the destination stops and pick-ups.
Alison Monamy, Local Bus Service Manager at Bland’s added: “The development of the new, more comprehensive 182 Stamford Town Service has been a very positive experience.
“The team here at Bland’s are looking forward to meeting more of the Stamford town residents, and we have dropped the cost of off-peak travel on the service to £2 for a single, £3.40 for a return (09.00 - 14:30) to encourage more travelers onboard.”
