Works to rebuild a section of the A631 Corringham will start next month.
Karen Cassar, assistant director for highways, said: “As part of our major resurfacing programme for this year, we’ll be rebuilding a failing section of the A631 near Corringham.
“This will be a huge piece of work, with the team expecting to use over 4,000 tonnes of tarmac and other road-building materials to rebuild the carriageway here.
“While on site, we’ll also be carrying out some verge excavations to help improve drainage in the works area.”
