Fiskerton Road, Cherry Willingham’s improvement is go.

Karen Cassar, assistant director for Highways said: “It is terrific news that we are able to carry out these resurfacing works to Fiskerton Road.

“With the works programme happening, it means that this stretch will be left free from potholes and be a much nicer and safer road for road users to be able to travel along.”

Location of works

The works will be carried out at Fiskerton Road, from the junction with Waterford Lane to the speed limit signs at the eastern end of the village.

Dates and times

The works will begin on Tuesday, May 28 and have a planned end date of Wednesday, June 12, subject to suitable weather. On-site working hours will be 07.30 to 17.00, Monday to Friday.

Traffic management

A road closure is required for the duration of the works.

Diversion route

The signed diversion route will be; C4 Fiskerton Road East, Lincoln Road, High Street (Fiskerton) - C258 Chapel Road, Reepham Road, Fiskerton Road, Station Road, High Street, Hawthorn Road - A15 Lincoln Eastern Bypass – C4 Greetwell Road and vice versa.

Karen Cassar added: “Because of the nature of these works, there will have to be no on-street parking while the resurfacing is happening. As always, we will maintain resident access but, given the scale and type of improvement works we’re undertaking, delays will be likely, so we are advising that people allow more time for planned journeys.

“We will be continuing further resurfacing improvement works in the area, too. They will happen in July when works are planned on High Street / Croft Lane. We will make public the full details of these works nearer the time.

“As always, I would like to thank everyone effected by these improvements for their patience and understanding while we carry them out.”
