Don’t forget your ID
If you are voting in person at your local polling station, you will need to bring photo ID with you. You can find a full list of accepted photo ID on the government’s website, or on the back of your poll card.
Your poll card – which will be delivered to your home ahead of the election – will also tell you which polling station to vote at.
You can only vote at the polling station listed on your card. You do not have to take your poll card with you.
If you cannot make it to vote on polling day due to a medical emergency, disability, loss of voter ID or because of your work, you may be able to apply for an emergency proxy vote.
Who can I vote for?
All voters in Lincolnshire will choose who they want to represent them as the Police and Crime Commissioner for the county.
You can find details of the candidates standing in the Lincolnshire Police and Crime Commissioner elections on the ‘Choose My PCC’ website.
The role of the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) is to be the voice of the people and hold the police to account. They are responsible for the totality of policing.
PCCs are elected by the public to hold Chief Constables and the force to account, making the police answerable to the communities they serve.
Voters in Lincoln will also choose a representative for their ward on the City of Lincoln Council. And those in the Park Division of the city will also choose a representative for Lincolnshire County Council.
More about these two elections can be found on the City of Lincoln Council website.
