Airfix plane models on a table

The annual Airfix Weekend is back, on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 March 2024.

The popular Airfix Weekend will see the Burton Road museum play host to over 100 models, including military and civilian aircraft, tanks, trucks, cars, and robots.

Whether you are a seasoned hobbyist or a newcomer to the world of modelling, this event is sure to delight and inspire. Explore the intricate details and precision of Airfix models, and marvel at these miniature wonders that the whole family can enjoy.

Steve Dunk, visitor experience manager at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life, said:

“The Airfix Weekend is always such a popular event. It’s a chance to see a whole range of model vehicles and aircraft, and meet their makers to discover more about how they’re made.

”Visitors can of course then enjoy the rest of the museum’s displays too!”

Tickets for the event cost just £3 for adults and £1 per child. Or buy a family ticket for two adults and up to three children for £6.

The Museum of Lincolnshire Life is on Burton Road in Lincoln. It is open Friday to Tuesday, from 10am to 4pm. Plan your visit now at www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/museumoflincolnshirelife.
