Fire stations across Lincolnshire are again fundraising for the Fire Fighters Charity, and bringing festive cheer to communities this Christmas.
Events include the popular ‘Santa Sleigh’ tours around villages and towns, with other stations setting up their own Santa’s grottos with a warm welcome to visitors.
Last year, the service raised over £27,318 for the Fire Fighters Charity over the Christmas period – more than any other fire service in the country.
Spencer Creek, Area Manager at Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said: “The Fire Fighters Charity does incredible work to support current and ex-firefighters and their families. They support so many people in what can be a very challenging role.
Cllr Lindsey Cawrey, executive councillor for Lincolnshire Fire and Rescue, said:
“We know that residents in Lincolnshire love these events and come out to support them in their droves! A big thank you to our crews who take the time to organise them – they truly are a valued part of their communities.”
