Junction crossing update in the New Year

A junction with two lanes and traffic lights for pedestrians to cross

Outer Circle Road to Carlton Boulevard will be easier to get across in 2024

Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: “We have the opportunity to improve the T-junction with some adjustments which will mean that the far side operation is going to switch to a Puffin/Toucan type of set-up.

“We’ll also be switching the junction itself to a more modern version that will use less power.”

LOCATION OF WORKS

The works will be carried out on Outer Circle Road, Lincoln at the junction with Carlton Boulevard.

DATES AND TIMES

The works will begin on Monday, January 8 and has a scheduled end date of Friday, February 23, subject to suitable weather. There will be no weekend working.

TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

Three-way temporary signals and a temporary pedestrian crossing will be in place for the duration of the works.

Cllr Davies added: “Whilst we will need to have temporary traffic lights in place to manage the safety of the crew and pedestrians using this area, we will not have to put a diversion in place.

“This will help to keep the disruption down to a minimum.

“I’d like to thank anyone effected by these works for their patience and understanding whilst we get this improvement programme completed.”
