Patching works will make Cheapside a better road to use.
Cllr Richard Davies, Executive member for highways, said: "The road is in need of a new surface and by carrying out these works we can make a very noticeable difference to everyone who travels along it.
“This programme will also increase the lifespan of the road for many years to come.”
Location of works
The works will be carried out on Cheapside, Holton Le Clay.
Dates and times
The works will begin on Thursday November 16 and have a planned end date of Thursday November 23, subject to suitable weather. There will be night-time working only with crews on site from 20.00 to 06.00.
NOTE: There will be one day of weekend works planned. This will happen on Saturday November 18.
Traffic management
Road Closures and Diversion Route will be in place during the times stated.
Outside the stated working hours, the Road Closure and Diversion Route will be lifted to minimise disruption on the local network.
Diversion route
The diversion route will be: A16 to B1219 Station Road to B1203 High Street to C419 Cheapside and vice versa.
Cllr Davies added: "Whilst these £160,000 works are happening, we will do everything we can to minimise disruption including lifting the road closure and diversion route outside of the working hours.
“I would like to thank everyone effected for their patience and understanding while we go about bringing this improvement to Holton le Clay.”
