Edinburgh Road’s pathworks will now begin on November 10
The recent batch of bad weather has had implications for the planned start of pathworks in Stamford with the start date moving from Monday November 6 to Friday November 10.
Location of works
The works will be carried out on Edinburgh Road, Stamford (between Charles Road and Green Lane).
Dates and times
The works will begin on Friday November 10 and have a planned end date of Friday January 12, subject to suitable weather. Work on site will happen between 07.30 to 17.00 Monday to Friday.
Traffic management
A road closure will be in place throughout the duration of the works, including weekends.
Diversion route
The diversion route will be via Charles Road, Churchill Road, Green Lane and vice versa.

Cllr Richard Davies, Executive member for Highways said: “The footway is reaching the end of its serviceable life, and we will carry out a full rebuild to improve this area for Stamford.
“New crossing points will also be installed whilst the work is undertaken to provide improved areas for pedestrians to cross the road.”

Cllr Davies added: "To deliver these works will cost £175,000 and the improvement to this section of Stamford’s footpath will be a well-felt benefit to the area.
“We appreciate that there will be some inevitable disruption whilst the works are happening, and we will do everything possible keep this to a minimum.
“I want to thank everyone effected for their understanding and patience whilst we complete this work programme.”
