Works to replace the old footway with newly-laid surfacing will start in late October.

Richard Fenwick, Head of Highways Asset and Local Management Services, said: “The footway at Thorpe Place in Tattershall has reached the end of its serviceable life, so we’ve taken the decision to fully rebuild it to improve its structural integrity.

“As part of the works, the team will be removing the existing footway and replacing it with newly-laid surfacing, in addition to incorporating new crossing points.

“We’ll be doing everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum, including maintaining access for residents and businesses throughout the project.

“In the meantime, I want to thank everyone affected in advance for their patience.”
