Resurfacing coming for Ingoldmells

Ingoldmells diversion route

The end of the month sees a big improvement for road users.

Karen Cassar, Assistant Director for Highways said: "Road users will get a better road surface because of these improvement works and by carrying out this works programme we are greatly increasing the lifespan of the road.” 

Dates and times

The works will begin on Monday October 30 and have a planned end date of Friday November 24, subject to suitable weather. There are no weekend works planned and the hours on site will be from 07.30 to 17.00 each day. 

Traffic management

A road closure will be in place throughout the works with a diversion route in place.  

Diversion route

The diversion route will be via Youngers Lane, Everingtons Lane, Church Lane, Mill Lane, Mill Road, Ingoldmells Road and Vice Versa and vice versa. 

Location of works

The works will be carried out on Ingoldmells Road, Hides Lane and Ashington End. 

Karen Cassar added: “We are improving the roads with a programme of works costing in excess of £500,000. This work which will be a benefit for road users across the entire area.  

“There will be some inevitable disruption while the programme is being carried out and I would like to thank everyone effected for their understanding and patience during the coming weeks.”
