Tenants and council staff have marked the first anniversary of the Hub at the South Lincolnshire Food Enterprise Zone, with cake and conversation, while welcoming the building’s newest staff member!
Katherine Cox has recently joined the county council’s economy team to manage both The Hub innovation centre at the site in Holbeach and the Eventus business centre in Market Deeping. She’s responsible for making sure everything runs smoothly at both centres, and takes care of tenants to help them flourish and grow as successful businesses.
Katherine said: “Everyone has been so welcoming and very helpful settling me in. It’s been fast-paced from the get-go which I love. My colleagues and tenants have been so supportive.

The Hub has been gradually filling up with tenants who are taking advantage of its fantastic location, modern work spaces and proximity to world-leading research and development facilities on-site.
Businesses in or supporting the food manufacturing and agri-tech sectors use this space as a “hub” for creativity and innovation, to develop and explore new and exciting processes and ways of working in the sector.
Cllr Colin Davie, executive councillor for economy and place at the county council, said: “The Food Enterprise Zone continues to go from strength to strength and The Hub plays a vital role in supporting smaller enterprises and start-ups to access the same benefits as the national and international businesses who are also locating at the site.”
The connections and support provided at The Hub by the public sector and the University of Lincoln make The Hub the “go-to” centre to help the businesses access the latest technology, skills, and services to support future growth.
