The diversion route for the Mere Road works

Mere Road is getting a large scheme resurface for the area.

Karen Cassar, Assistant Director for Highways said: “These works are a major scheme for the area which will cost nearly half a million pounds to complete. When the new surface is in place it will mean a better ride quality for road users plus it will give the road itself many more years of useful uninterrupted life.”

Dates and times

The work will begin on Monday, September 11 and has a planned end date of Friday, September 29, subject to suitable weather. There are no weekend works planned.

There will be no weekend working and the work on site will be live from 07.30 to 17.00.

Traffic management

There will be a 24-hour road closure and diversion in place for the duration of the works.

Diversion route

The diversion route is: A15 to Lincoln Eastern Bypass to B1188 and then B1178. It is also in place vice versa.

Karen Cassar added: "We will do everything possible to keep disruption to a minimum.

“I would like to take this opportunity to thanks everyone effected by these works for their patience whilst we carry out these works.”
