Dragons return to Lincoln Castle

Norman and Lucy burst through the walls at Lincoln Castle.

Lucy the Dragon has returned to the city this year, this time with friend Norman in tow.

Dragon duo, Lucy and Norman, landed at Lincoln Castle in June, once again making Cobb Hall their home until at least January 2024.

Last year more than half a million people visited Lucy at Lincoln Castle. And this year, it is hoped Norman will find an equal number of adoring fans.

The scaly pair will be keeping a keen eye over all the events at Lincoln Castle throughout 2023.

This year will see the return of the Grand Medieval Joust on 12 and 13 August. For the first time since before the pandemic, real knights on horseback will be battling it out on the castle’s main lawn.

And later in August, the ever-popular Asylum Steampunk Festival will take place from 26 to 28 August. The event is the largest and longest-running Steampunk festival in the Solar System, attracting visitors from around the globe.

Grab your popcorn for a night under the stars watching your favourites on the big screen with our LUNA Cinema events in September. And then, the sounds of sizzling will fill the grounds at the Lincolnshire Sausage Festival on 16 October.
