24/7 closure for vehicles will start in early July.
Sam Edwards, Head of Highways Infrastructure, said: “As part of the ongoing construction of the Spalding Western Relief Road’s north section, we need to build a culvert over Blue Gowt Drain that will connect the relief road’s new shared cycleway/footway to the existing Blue Gowt Lane.
“Unfortunately, this means we need to excavate a section of the lane, which means it will be fully closed to vehicular traffic for a month and a half. However, we’ll be maintaining access for pedestrians throughout that time.”

Sam Edwards added: “We'll be doing everything we can to keep disruption to a minimum throughout the project, including maintaining pedestrian access and carrying the works out during the day to avoid any noise disruption to residents overnight.
“In the meantime, I want to thank everyone in advance for their patience.”
