This month topsoiling will be completed on the west side of the side, whilst excavations begin on the east side.

What we achieved in May

Phase Two

  • Installation of signage under night-time southbound A1 lane closure

Phase Three

  • West side of site – continue out topsoiling and finishing works near Pond B
  • East side of site – complete Pier 5 piling platform / continue piling to the east abutment and started Pier 5 piling / opened Whalebone Lane to traffic on 5th May

What's happening in June

Phase Three

  • West side of site – complete topsoiling and finishing works near Pond B
  • East side of site – complete Pier 5 piling / begin excavation and pile cropping to Pier 5 / continue piling to the east abutment / complete white lining / open Whalebone Lane to traffic

Current/ongoing traffic restrictions and closures

  • Lane restrictions around the B1174 Roundabout to facilitate the construction of the haul route and access into site

Upcoming traffic restrictions and closures

  • Temporary traffic signals as required for white lining of Whalebone Lane
