B1515 Fleet Road footpath works will start next month.
Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: “This section of path alongside Fleet Road is beginning to show signs of subsidence, so we’re taking action now before it deteriorates any further.
“Pedestrian safety is paramount, but sorting this subsidence will also make the maintenance of the adjoining road easier going forward.
“Due to the nature of these works, we’ll have to implement a full road closure for the duration of the project to keep our crews safe. I’d like to thank everyone effected for their patience, and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
Dates and times
The works will begin on Monday 5 June and last for up to 4 weeks, subject to suitable weather.
Traffic management
A full 24/7 road closure will be in place throughout the works from Monday 5 June, lasting until the project completion.
Resident and business access will be maintained.
Diversion route
The diversion route will be via the B1515, B1168, A17, B1515, and vice versa.
Location of works
The works will be carried out on the footway adjoining the B1515 Fleet Road, between Holbeach and Fleet Hargate.
