Ranby B1225 improvements set for late January

Diversion route B1225 Ranby

Works to rebuild sections of the B1225 in Ranby will start later this month.

Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: “This one-mile stretch of the B1225 through Ranby is starting to deteriorate, so we’ve taken the decision to replace this now before it gets any worse.

“As part of these improvements, we’ll be rebuilding this area of the B1225 using over 4,500 tonnes of tarmac and other road-building materials.

“National Grid works to erect and recover poles and replace wiring will also be taking place concurrently on-site for a week to minimise disruption on the roads later on.”
