Kickstart your Christmas shopping and support local artisan makers at The Collection Museum’s Autumn Artisan Market on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 November.
Visitors will be spoilt for choice with over 30 stalls offering a wide range of products, including original art, prints, ceramics glassware and jewellery, alongside a selection of food and drink stalls.
Throughout the weekend, visitors can get creative with adult and children’s workshops and enjoy live local music.
The workshops and entertainment include:
- On Saturday 5 November:
- Christmas Clay Decorations, from 10.30am to 11.30am
- Crochet Christmas Decorations, from 1pm to 2.30pm
- On Sunday 6 November:
- Claire’s Mindful Art Workshop, from 11am
- Free live local music in the Muse Coffee Bar, from 12 noon to 3.30pm. Confirmed acts: Carrianne Rogers, Belle Woodland, Blanx, Dan Welsby, Jack Kendrick, Rat Rivers Trappers
Places on the workshops are limited so booking is absolutely essential. You can book your place now, and find a list of confirmed stallholders for the market on The Collection website.
The event is open from 10am to 4pm each day over the weekend, and entry is free (charges apply for workshops).
Ann Worrell, visitor experience officer at The Collection, said:
“We couldn’t be more excited for the Artisan Market to return to The Collection Museum next month.
"It always proves to be a popular event with both visitors and stallholders, and as we all start to think about Christmas looming over the horizon, it’s a good opportunity to get a head-start on the list with some unique presents from local artists and makers.
“Visitors to the market can also take a look at our new exhibition ‘Best Art Vinyl’, which opens on Saturday 22 October and will be on display right through until January.
"The exhibition will be a celebration of iconic vinyl album artwork from 1949 to 2021, showcasing the creativity and ingenuity behind the cover designs.”
The Collection Museum on Danes Terrace in Lincoln is open Thursday to Monday, 10am to 4pm.
