People can now use the new Greetwell Road roundabout – the third of four new Lincoln Eastern Bypass roundabouts.
Karen Cassar, Assistant Director – Highways, said: "People in and around Lincoln will be very happy to know that Greetwell Road is now reopened and the third of four new Lincoln Eastern Bypass roundabouts is open.
"Over the past eight weeks, the team has worked hard to complete earthworks, kerbing and other essential works over in Greetwell.
"We now just have one new roundabout to complete, at Washingborough Road, which we'll start building next February."
Although the Greetwell Road roundabout is now open to motorists, final surfacing works will need to be undertaken later in the project.
Additionally, works are still required on the splitter islands, additional street lighting, signage and lining.
The Lincoln Eastern Bypass project is part-funded by a £50m Central Government capital grant and aims to minimise traffic congestion, support Lincoln’s growth as a principal urban centre, and enhance the inter-city environment.
