South Kesteven District Council's project saw major changes to the Market Place in Grantham, including:
- Raising the road level from the Conduit Lane pedestrian crossing and along Westgate/Market Place, between the existing raised crossings to link the existing pedestrian area
- Raising the exit to the short-term parking area
- Adding new stop lines at the traffic signals on Market Place and High Street
Our role in the project was solely as delivery partner for the works.
Cost and funding
The project was funded by a portion of the £4.1 million of Grantham Future High Street Fund funding awarded to the South Kesteven District Council in 2020 by the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities and the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government.
