Library service membership is free and open to anyone. You can sign up online or at any library or hub across Lincolnshire.
Children aged 12 and under will require a guarantor when joining. Upon signing up, a parent or guardian will be asked to present a valid library card or proof of name and address.
Those aged between 13 and 17 don’t need parental permission but will have limited loans unless a guarantor is provided.
What happens next
If you sign up online you will receive a temporary borrower number which allows you to make limited loans, access digital resources and reserve items online.
If you want to borrow items from the library physically, you must visit in person with your ID to get full membership.
Once you have this, you will receive a library card with a membership number and a separate PIN. You will need your card and PIN to borrow an item, log into your account, make a reservation or use a computer.
You must update your details online if you have a change of name, address, or contact details.
If you need to renew your membership or an expired library card, please speak to a team member at your local library.
If you have forgotten your library PIN or are having problems with it, you can reset it online or by visiting your local library.
