Outcome and reasons for the decision

23 April 2001-  the County Council decided not to make an Order on the grounds that there was insufficient evidence and that the route was not successfully claimed in 1954. The County Council made the decision to make an Order on 25 August 2006 following the direction.

Details of appeal to the Secretary of State

The applicant appealed to the Government Office. The County Council was directed to make an Order for a bridleway on 26 November 2001. A number of objections to the Order were submitted. The Order was submitted to the Secretary of State on 9 June 2008 for determination. A public inquiry was held at Woolsthorpe village hall on 16 December 2008.

Confirmation,non confirmation (with,without mods)
