6. Schools are normally the first point of contact for families who are considering EHE. All schools are provided with support and guidance from the Education Support Team. All parents are entitled to an appointment at their school with a member of the EHE team present to discuss their options, or can contact the EHE team separately for a discussion regarding their choices.

9. The EHE policy, procedures and arrangements in place for EHE children who hold an EHCP are compliant with our equality duty, as per the council’s Diversity and Inclusion Policy
10. The EHE process is provided to schools/settings and an Annual Review EHCP process is provided to schools/settings. Parents can be offered a meeting by the school to discuss their EHE decision. A representative from the EHE team can attend or parent can seek advice independently from the EHE department, at any stage of their decision-making process. As part of the process, SEND Caseworkers can also liaise with parents/carers about their preferences and can attend the school meeting if parent wished
