1) What de-icing agents do you use on large sensitive structures, such as tunnels and bridges?

2) What are your current spread rates for the de-icers?

Decision

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council (LCC). I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1) The de-icing agents used on our precautionary salting routes is a 6mm treated salt. The de-icing agent is not adjusted for structures.

2) 7, 12 and 17 grams per square meter

3) Yes

4) No, any corrosion is monitored through inspection like all assets

5) No

6) No – we did use Brine and salt, but moved over to treated salt 5 years ago
