Mixed Faith Adoption - Find a freedom of information request

I would like some advice about obtaining information about couples who have put a request in to adopt a child.

I would therefore like to request an FOI about:

1) the religions of each partner who have applied to adopt a child.

2) I would also like to know how often they are rejected citing mixed-faith relationship as one of the justifications.

I can confirm that the information requested is held by Lincolnshire County Council. I have detailed below the information that is being released to you.

1) In the year 2023-2024 15 adopter households applied to adopt with Lincolnshire County Council.

Of this number, (and of those in couple relationships) 12 had one member of the couple who classified themselves as Christian and where the other had no religion.

One couple classified themselves as one as Christian and the other Hindu The remaining applicants that year had the same religion as each other or both had no religion.

2) No prospective adoptive parents have been turned down for adoption due to being in a mixed-faith relationship within Lincolnshire.
